THIS PROGRAM IS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE RESORT MUNICIPALITY OF WHISTLER. 

Get ready to ride longer, faster, stronger and with more confidence! 

 

This 8 week program will prepare you for the mountain bike season by:

  • Establishing a solid base and improving your overall strength through the refinement of foundational movement patterns.

  • Sport specific exercises that target attributes essential for the mountain biking.

  • Building a strong foundation through anterior and posterior core specific exercises.  

  • Help prevent common injuries by ironing out imbalances.  

  • Increase mobility in the areas that tend to tighten and restrict movement in the mountain biker.

Functional Fitness, Strength and Conditioning Coaching for Young Females, is designed for those that are looking to enhance their overall athleticism, complement their sport specific skills, and build resistance to injury in an inspirational and supportive space that focuses on building confidence, creating connections and improving overall fitness through strength training. 

 

Some of the integral concepts and lessons presented in this program will be:

 

  • Learning proper movement patterns and general training concepts.

  • Developing strength, endurance, core and flexibility through age-appropriate exercises. 

  • Recovery, relaxation and focusing techniques.    

  • Establishing comfort in a gym environment. 

  • Sport science workshops including nutrition and mental training.
