What is it?

Girls Dirt Club is a membership-based program dedicated to empowering young female, female-identifying, and non-binary mountain bike riders by equipping them with the tools for success both on and off the bike. This inclusive initiative not only fosters skill development but also creates a unique opportunity for female riders to come together, explore diverse environments, forge new friendships, and cultivate personal growth through engaging social rides and inspiring ride camps.

According to a 2020 study by Canadian Women & Sport, 1 in 3 girls leave sport by late adolescence whereas the comparison to boys is 1 in 10.   Through positive role modelling, professional coaching and confidence inspiring programming, we aspire to create the reframe needed to keep girls engaged in sport for life!

Step into an environment that helps our female riders develop their skills and confidence to tackle anything life’s journey might throw at them!

Social Rides

Social rides are all about fostering  community, connection, support and growth.  Although there will be no formalized coaching, these rides aim to create a space to gain confidence riding bikes in a positive and FUN environment.  The trail we will be riding alongside the recommended skill level for each ride will be provided and all rides will have a qualified adult coach and/or first aid trained mentor to ensure a safe environment.

Ride Camps

Ride camps aspire to establish a supportive space for not only mountain bike skill development and competitive performance strategies, but also to serve as a training ground for instilling virtues such as integrity, respect, leadership, teamwork, resilience, and self worth.  The overarching goal is to foster a holistic approach to personal growth while ensuring that excitement, enjoyment, and fun are integral components of the experience.

During on-bike group sessions, participants engage in skill development and competitive strategy acquisition and mental strength techniques. These sessions are complemented by integrated workshops that delve into important topics such as goal setting, visualization, and injury prevention. The aim is to provide a comprehensive and enriching experience that not only enhances biking proficiency but also cultivates valuable life skills and well-being.
